A UK based world leader in luxury travel, has launched a new boutique train offering curated on and off-board experiences across the UK. Guests can enjoy an immersive journey through picturesque destinations in England and Wales, with a focus on gastronomy and hospitality.
To complement its premium service, the rail operator required a connectivity solution that could keep pace with modern guest and staff
demands, seamlessly supporting everything from passenger Wi-Fi to on board operations, whilst traveling at speed through remote landscapes.
The Challenge
Unlike traditional hotels or stationary venues, luxury trains present a unique challenge in that they must maintain strong, reliable internet connectivity while constantly in motion and travelling through rural and hard-to-reach areas. The operator faced the challenge of
finding a solution that could operate in the trains demanding environment. Standard terrestrial broadband and mobile networks were insufficient for maintaining consistent, high-speed coverage throughout its routes.
The Solution
The operator partnered with Brdy Telecom, an authorised Starlink reseller, to equip their rail coaches with high-speed satellite internet. Brdy
provided the latest Starlink hardware alongside a bespoke service plan designed specifically for high-speed, mobile environments. This ensures reliable coverage across the entire route of the train, allowing both passengers and staff to stay connected at all times. The Results
